Host Jeremy Maupin and his brother Nathan visit the annual Rock and Mineral Show in Tucson, Arizona, to hunt the extraterrestrial meteorite tektite, called moldavite. Refresh Quest explores the Mother Lode region of California, following Highway 49 through some of the most historic and famous gold-rich towns, communities, and areas dating back to the first gold discovery of 1848. Along this journey, Refresh Quest meets Gary Bailey, a modern- day gold prospector who demonstrates a few tips on how to gold pan while explaining that the "real gold” is the land itself.

The Refresh Quest team travels to Calaveras County, California, to celebrate and participate in the old-time tradition of frog jumping dating back to the early 1900’s at a local county fair near Angels Camp. After watching and learning from the pros, the team jumps at the chance to compete for the grand prize of twenty thousand dollars if they beat the current world’s record held since 1986. Win or lose, everyone goes home having a froggin’ good time.

A nostalgic road trip back to Jeremy’s childhood city provided an opportunity to visit the nearby Haggin Museum with two friends, Cynthia Ochoa and Jonathan Clever. Once inside, the group explores art and history from the late 19th and early 20th centuries that primarily focus on the city of Stockton and the state of California. With the help of their imagination, they transport themselves in and out of the museum, exploring in greater detail a few of the museum’s display pieces that have a special connection to the local area.
